The city of Leeds is situated close to the Yorkshire Dales which has beautiful scenery. The city itself offers lots of culture and history as well as various restaurants and nightly entertainment giving the city lots of variety for all different people.
The city is like any other very fast paced with many businesses within the centre along with many tourist spots and historic and cultural buildings to view. All set within beautiful surroundings of countryside. Within the centre there are plenty of parks and gardens where you can sit and relax taking in the hustle and bustle of city life.

For attractions there are plenty for every age such as the gardens of Tropical World which is home to an array of Tropical plants and trees bearing fruit see the waterfall with beautiful butterflies and other wildlife.
Historic Houses and Galleries
Harewood House is famous for its collection of Chippendale furniture beautiful gardens with stunning waterfall and splendid architecture. In the house visit some of the many furnished rooms and see and re-live how the servants once lived. After exploring why not relax at the courtyard café while the children play in the adventure playground.
There are many galleries throughout the city but Leeds City Art Gallery contains works by Turner, Moore and Hepworth among other major artists so is well worth a visit.
Shopping Experience
Leeds is a hub for shopping experience offering 4.3 million square feet of retail paradise; and beautiful architecture surrounding the area. Some of the best places to shop are the Victoria Quarter with fabulous designer stores and Leeds shopping plaza, which offers an Millennium Square array of variety from small unique shops to large department stores and beautiful boutiques. Kirkgate Market is one of the largest markets in Europe and offers a mass variety of food stuff and ornaments as well as many other items.
Evening Entertainment
There are many theatres to watch opera and ballet and Phoenix Dance Theatre is now a leading contemporary dance company offering many performances. Leeds International Concert Season puts on over 200 concerts a year around the city so whenever you visit the city you are bound to be able to see a concert.
Other evening entertainment is varied including bars and clubs along with an endless choice of restaurants. When thinking of dining out there are a variety of restaurants and cafes to suit everybody's taste whether you are looking for something traditional of would like to taste something from afar there are an endless number of places to choose from throughout the city.
