Historic Places of interest
This historic city, is built on the success of shipbuilding and the railways, has transformed Bristol extensively over the last decade. The docks have been rejuvenated, the streets are packed with cutting-edge Bristol Harbour side restaurants, designer
bars and world-class museums; the media and nightlife place this city on the map as a place to visit.
You can visit the restored SS Great Britain, designed by Brunel in 1843. This was the first transatlantic steamship to be driven by a screw propeller, this makes an entertaining attraction for visitors of all ages.
One of Bristol's most famous landmarks is the 76 metre high Clifton Suspension Bridge situated across the Avon Gorge. It was designed by Brunel, and is a beautiful sight and one of Britain's most elegant bridges.

Also due to open in September 2008 is the long awaited Cabot Circus which will offer major stores and local shops, it will also have a 13 screen "Cinema de Lux" .
Evening Entertainment
As the sun sets, the city comes alive with music, theatre, cinema and food and drink. The main nightlife areas suround the harbourside situated along Whiteladies Road and Park Street along with Corn Street and the Old City. With places to entertain your evening out like the Bristol Hippodrome which offers West End and Broadway productions. There are a variety of cinemas and comedy clubs live music bars and nightclubs.
