Fly to Dublin Year-round!

Stobart Air last week announced that the Aer Lingus Regional route they operate between Newquay and Dublin will operate year-round, with a minimum of 3 flights per week in winter and up to 7 flights per week in the peak summer season.

The route which commenced in 2015 as a summer only route, recommenced on 14 March this year with both an increased season and frequency. With demand high, Stobart Air have now made the decision to extend the route to a year round service.

Ryanair Launches new Cornwall routes to Alicante & Frankfurt-Hahn: 

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (3 April) celebrated the launch of its new Alicante and Frankfurt Hahn services from Cornwall Airport Newquay. Both routes will operate twice weekly, with Alicante on Wednesdays and Sundays and Frankfurt Hahn operating on Thursdays and Sundays, which will deliver 35,000 customers p.a. at Cornwall Airport Newquay.

Virgin Atlantic and Flybe partnership opens up new destinations for Cornwall

Wednesday, 30 March, 2016 Travellers in Cornwall will soon be able to book flights to international destinations including Orlando, Las Vegas, and the Caribbean – thanks to a new codeshare agreement between Virgin Atlantic and Europe’s leading regional airline, Flybe. From 2 April customers will be able to book tickets through Virgin Atlantic to travel from 18 UK and European airports served by Flybe, and connect onto their Virgin Atlantic flight at Manchester, or London Gatwick.

Cornwall Airport Newquay has announced a raft of new routes launching in spring 2016 which are set to boost traveller numbers using the West Country airport.

Cornwall Airport Newquay announces increased schedule from Newquay to Dublin for 2016

The Aer Lingus Regional route between Cornwall Airport Newquay and Dublin Airport will return with a longer season and more frequent flights for 2016.

The route which launched in 2015 will recommence on 14th March 2016 and run until the 2nd January 2017. The route will launch initially with four flights a week (Mon/Thurs/Fri/Sun) with the schedule increasing to 6 flights a week from the end of April and with daily connectivity from early July.

Cornwall Airport Limited goes out to consultation on airspace designation change

Cornwall Airport Limited intends to apply to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for a change to the designation of a small area of airspace in the vicinity of the airport in response to commercial discussion with potential industry customers in the sector of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

Flybe announces expanded 2016 Summer Schedule from Cornwall Airport

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today (10th November 2015) put on sale its 2016 Summer schedule from Cornwall Airport Newquay featuring nine routes, including two that are brand new namely to Aberdeen and Doncaster Sheffield. This in total offers customers a choice of up to 56 flights a week.

Tickets are available for booking now at with one way fares from £24.99 including taxes and charges and currently available for travel from 27th March through to 30th September 2016.

Cornwall Airport Newquay flies into the Jet age with Flybe

Cornwall Airport Newquay will be flying into the jet age next summer – thanks to an agreement between Cornwall Council, the Department of Transport and Flybe to operate 118 seat Embraer jet aircraft on the Newquay to Gatwick route.
