Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today (10th November 2015) put on sale its 2016 Summer schedule from Cornwall Airport Newquay featuring nine routes, including two that are brand new namely to Aberdeen and Doncaster Sheffield. This in total offers customers a choice of up to 56 flights a week.
Tickets are available for booking now at www.flybe.com with one way fares from £24.99 including taxes and charges and currently available for travel from 27th March through to 30th September 2016.
Cornwall Airport Newquay will be flying into the jet age next summer – thanks to an agreement between Cornwall Council, the Department of Transport and Flybe to operate 118 seat Embraer jet aircraft on the Newquay to Gatwick route.

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (29 Oct) launched flights from Newquay Airport, with 2 routes to Alicante and Frankfurt Hahn, starting from April 2016, which will deliver 35,000 customers p.a. at Newquay Airport. Both routes will operate twice weekly, deliver 35,000 customers p.a. at Newquay Airport, Ryanair’s 17th UK destination.
Cornwall Council has confirmed it is to cease the £5 Airport Development Fee (ADF) levy currently paid by passengers flying from Cornwall Airport Newquay next year as part of a package of measures to help encourage new airlines to fly from the airport.
Following the introduction of the Public Service Obligation service there has been a 16% increase in the number of passengers using the Newquay to Gatwick route. At the same time there has also been a more general increase in the numbers of people using the airport.
To celebrate the new London Stansted to Newquay Cornwall Airport route, passengers on Saturday 16 May 2015 were greeted with a warm Cornish welcome, including local treats provided by a number of Cornish businesses including Rodda’s, Boddington’s Berries, Furniss Foods, and St Austell Brewery, as well as the latest issue of Cornwall Life Magazine.
Passengers travelling through Newquay Cornwall Airport were on Friday May 1 treated with a taste of Ireland to celebrate the launch of a new direct route to Dublin Airport.
Travellers were offered Guinness tasters in the main terminal area of the airport to coincide with the route’s inaugural flight.
