Leading regional airline offering direct twice-weekly flights to Norwich for Summer 2012
Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline and the UK’s Number One Domestic carrier is to start a brand new twice-weekly summer route to Norwich from Newquay Cornwall Airport effective for travel between 5 May and 22 September, 2012.
The new route will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the time-saving flight taking just 75 minutes that offers huge time savings against a six to seven hour trek by road or rail. With one-way fares from just £39.99 including taxes and charges, the cost of air travel remains a convenient and highly competitive travel option for those wanting to travel the virtual breadth of the country from the South West of England to East Anglia.
Simon Lilley, Flybe’s Director of Marketing, comments: “We are launching our new twice-weekly summer route to Newquay as a result of passenger demand, opening up convenient and affordable travel between the two regions. This further supports our commitment to ensuring that Cornwall travellers have an increasing choice of convenient and affordable flights to and from the region.
Comments Al Titterington, Newquay Cornwall Airport’s Managing Director: “Norwich is a brand new destination to be served from Newquay and we’re delighted with Flybe’s announcement to fly twice a week from May 2012. In a difficult economic climate, the partnership between Flybe and Newquay Cornwall Airport is growing and this additional destination to the Flybe network complements their existing services to London Gatwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester.”
With this additional new route, Flybe will now offer a choice of up to 72 flights a week next summer to the four destinations it services from Newquay.
Mr Lilley adds:.”In continuing to keep Britain on the move, we are confident we have come up with summer travel options that are both extensive and affordable for 2012 – and watch this space for more new route announcements very shortly!”
