Preferred Supplier list

Newquay Cornwall Airport has a list of preferred photographers that it works with to take photos of various parts of the airport. These are photographers who have undertaken jobs at the airport and know the operational requirements and limitations of the aerodrome. As of the moment the below is a list of preferred photographers:

Any photographers not on the above list will need to be approved by the Marketing Team at Newquay Cornwall Airport before access is granted. Please note that we do not set the prices of photographers at the airport, these are set by individual photographers.

Commercial filming and photography

Commercial filming opportunities are available at Newquay Cornwall Airport. Details of the options available can be found below. These figures are for the cost of having an escort guide you around the required facilities. Additional costs are not included in the prices.

Charges:

Landside (Before Security Gate)

£200 for the first hour and then £150 per hour thereafter for the cost of the first escort. An escort can provide guidance for up to 6 people.

Areas classed as landside include – Car Parks, External shots of Terminal building, Check-in area, Café and any other area in the terminal that does not have restricted access.

Additional escorts are charged at £50 per hour.

Airside (After Security Gate)

£250 for the first hour and then £200 per hour thereafter for the cost of the first escort. An escort can provide guidance for up to 6 people.

Areas classed as airside include – Departure lounge, Executive lounge, Departure lounge café, outdoor Aircraft boarding areas (apron), baggage reclaim and other aerodrome areas within the perimeter fence including the Air Traffic Control Tower and Fire Station.

Additional escorts are charged at £50 per hour.

Working example

For 8 people to film for one hour landside and two hours airside, the following costs would be incurred:

  • Two escorts required
  • One hour filming landside = £250
  • Two hours filming airside = £550
  • Total = £800

Conditions

As Newquay Cornwall Airport is a working airport, it means that it must comply with CAA and DfT TRANSEC requirements. In every case the requirements of the CAA and DfT TRANSEC shall come first during any filming at the airport.

  • Newquay Cornwall Airport requires seven days notice for any filming at the airport.
  • A full itinerary of required filming and photography must be submitted within seven days of filming.
  • Newquay Cornwall Airport reserves the rights to interrupt or halt any filming or photography without notice.
  • Agreed start and finish times must be pre-determined.
  • Security procedures must not be filmed.
  • Branding and signage of key partners of the airport must not be filmed without permission.
  • The airports Health and Safety requirements must be adhered to at all times while within the aerodrome.
  • A copy of the insurance policy must be submitted with the following required cover: High risk activities £10 million, Low risk activities £5 million.
